Running Bridgestone G009's with stock 16" alloys 215/55 16. Very quiet H-rated tire. Handles very well especially in the wet. A step below the RE-950's but around $90 each. Softer sidewalls need to run a higher tire pressure like 38-35f.

I just wanted to post the pics of the setup I had. I had Dunlop SP Sport 901s (AWESOME tire, btw) in 245/45/17s on stock rims, and was overall, quite pleased with the result. They really didnt stick out or bulge too much. I remember looking around before pulling the trigger on these because I didnt know how they would look. Pics/info/and opinions were what I was kinda looking for and there wasnt much. So, here ya go, hopefully this can help someone out.

and links for the others so dont have a gazillion pics on here

Yup,

And its also good to remember that as you drive around your tires heat up and the pressure increases. I ususally put 30 PSI all around in all our cars, knowing it will heat up to around 32-35 during the drive depending on how hard I push it.

I have 17 inch Enkei CDR 9 rims in silver, with Falken Azenis ST-115 215/45R17. These tires are excellent all around performance tires.

Cooper Cobra GT's......They seem to grab the road pretty well but they're a little noisy.

I think my next set will be the Goodyear Assurance Triple Tred.

Stock Goodyear RSA on stock rims - 2001 I30 - Don't like the RSAs - Goodyear admits they manufactured some bad RSAs but will not divulge the extent of the problem. They suggest that I simply keep returning to the dealer untill the cracks show up in the sidewall. If the dealer catches the crack before the tire blows out they will give me a prorated discount on the individual tire. If the tires blow out between checkups, do I get a pro rated discount on the funeral?

Just installed Michelline X-ICE on factory rims last week. 225-65-16. I have to say that those winter tires are awsome.
For summer I going to buy mybe 17's or 18's, don't know what kind yet but was thinking about stock from G35 sedan or something like that. Any sugestions?

Just had Toyo Proxies 4 put on the Max, 235/45-17. For those with this setup, what PSI are you running on these tires?

Yokohoma AVS ES-100 245/45/18. Excellent grip on both dry and especially wet surfaces. I was surprised on how good the handling is on wet surfaces. Hugs the corners like no tommorow. Tires are well worth it. Almost done 3k miles on them and still have no sign of wear.

Could anyone post pics of their winter tire & steel rim setup? I'm totally clueless, but interested in getting a set of winter tires. Specific info on how to make these tires look non-lame would be nice too--I'm leaning towards bare steel right now.

I'd post a thread of my own, but I'm not allowed yet...

This was mine.

I think the color helped alot in not making it look quite so bad. But I guess it really just comes down to the car. Hope this helps.

Just put on a set of Kumho Ectsa ASX tires to replace my stock Potenza's and at this point I couldn't be happier. The old Bridgestone Potenzas (OEM) were done...with 32K miles on them. They were shot and so was my attitude about Bridgestone tires! I moved up a size in width to 235's and I like the more stable stance and the cornering on the new Kumho's, but time will tell. Had to order in my size from Discount Tire and dropped $542.00 for everything.

I currently have Bf Goodrich Excentia GT-H from Wal mart.
I bought them 18 months ago. Now they only have 5/32 thread.
They are much better than my previous set, Michelin pilot xgt h4
even better they cost me only $250 installed.
Now they are going to be louder and hydroplaning.

My next set will be Traction T/A H.

Good tires. Have you had them out in the snow at all? They wear very very quick, but track very nicely.

I have traction t/a on my 2k2. Not sure if it is the tires, or the 16 inch american racing rims, but I get this really bad shimmy/vibration when goin faster than 55-60.

Take a pick.

Which one would you guys recommend:

Sumitomo ZR
Falken Ziex ZE-512
PIRELLI P-7000 SUPERSPORT

I've decided on 235/45/17 size.

They are probably balanced on the inside only right? Sounds like they need to be re-balanced. Take it back to where you go them and have them re-balance them. Make sure they put sticky weights close to the outside if they didnt last time. Sounds like some of your weights have fallen off.

Look for my comments on the 512s in this thread and all over this forum. Spend a little more and skip the Falkens.
