2004 350z 18's on a 2002 Maxima

Has anyone put a set of stock 2004 350z 18" wheels on a 2002 Maxima? Here are the specs for the 350z wheels:

Dimensions front: 225/45/18
Dimensions rear: 245/45/18
Diameter: 18"
Width: 8"
Offset: 30 millimeters
Bolt pattern: 5 x 4.5 (same as 5 x 114.3)

I'm looking to upgrade my 17's without spending a fortune but still keeping the nissan look. Thanks!

the wheel diameter will be to large for your maxima and will slow it down quite a bit not to mention the offset is 30mm and it comes from a rear wheel drive car. I think our cars need at least 35mm.

you should be able to get away with it if you change the rubber. 30 offset on a 8 inch wheel will definately fit in the rear and probably in the front as well. An 8.5" wheel with 35 mm offset will stick out farther than an 8" wheel with 30mm. I haven't done the the math but just looking at it .25" is bigger than 5mm. If you need some clarification I can explain later. THe overall diameter of the rear tires is going to be the issue as it is taller than stock by a fair bit. I will stop being so lazy and calculate that for you.
Ok
Stock diameter is 641.5mm or 25.66"
225 45 18 is 652.5 mm or 26.1"
245 45 18 is 670.5 mm or 26.82"

So both will be slightly larger than stock. The front no probs but the rears are over an inch taller which some people consider borderline unsafe for braking purposes etc. I am pretty sure they will fit though.
Basically an 8.5 inch rim with 35 mm offset will stick out 71.25 mm from where it is bolted on. Your new 8" rims with 30mm offset will stick out 70mm from where they are bolted on. So basically the same as someone running 8.5 inch wide rims with 35mm offset. Hope I didn't confuse you. At the end of it all (provided my calculations are right) your new rims should fit based on what I have seen with people using 8.5" wide rims with 35mm offset. So all you have to decide is whether or not you want to keep the tall tires on the back or get new ones.
Disregard ealier when I said I had not doe the math cos I just did it for you.

they fit perfectly.

My brother has a 350z and we tried his rims on a 2k2 maxima on progress springs. They look really good actually. The only thing is if your trunk is loaded down with a LOT of stuff you might get some rubbing on the rear right tire when going over bumps. It might not happen to everyone. If you roll your rear fender it will go away. If you get 235's in the rear instead of 245's it will go away.

Other than that the offsets look absolutely perfect on the maxima, wheels perfectly flush with the fender.
