what to get..?

I was thinking about getting rims for christmas then only question I have is should I get 17's or 18's. I like the way 18's look but im also a huge speed junkie and I know the 18's are alot heavier then the 17's but the 17's look kinda small on 4th gens, but also tire price is less too..I dont know what to do! help thanks.

I bought 17s and wished I had got 18s everyday since. I finally replaced them with 19s this past spring. Although, they are much heavier, they look so much better. Personally, I say get the 18s. Unless you plan on racing, it shouldn't make too much of a difference.

use your stock wheels for winter and get some 19s for spring/summer/fall. If you get 17s, you'll want to get 18s later. When you have 18s, you'll want to get 19s. Just because rims get bigger, it doesn't mean they are heavier. My 18x8.5 SSRs were 10-15 lbs lighter than 17x7 OEM wheels. Plus, performance difference is minimal. You won't even notice.

I wouldn't want snow, salt, ice, and cold weather destroying expensive rims.
