Which Rims Clear LARGE CALIPERS??

Well after thinking that I could buy spacers for my wheels to get the 300zx calipers. I found out yesterday that the only way I was going to get those calipers to fit my wheels is to have my wheels sticking out of the wheel well.

I thought about selling the brakes or just selling my wheels and getting new ones that would clear the brakes. If you're interested in the wheels or brakes just click the link in my sig.

Now on with my question. I'm looking for 18" wheels by atleast 8" that would clear these calipers. They have to be a gunmetal or metallic black color. Just wondering what you guys have out there. Any input would be appreciated.

Ummmmm I dought they will fit over the calipers. Send me some more detailed pics of the spoke design and caliper clearance. I'm really interested in buying some volk wheels, but for ****z and giggles I wanna see what you have.

I'll be happy to give you some ideas, but you gotta let me know your price range (for rims only, not tires) & size you want.

At the most I'll spend $1500 for rims. 18"x8" - 18"x8.5"

Thanks Pat

1500 for just 18" rims (no tires) is a pretty good budget. That's what...$375/ea, which gives you tons of options. Although Volk and other JDM wheels are still out of range.

Axis Hiro will def clear big brakes. It's silver, bronze, anthracite all w/polished lip is. 18x8.5 $280ea.

Axis Reverb looks similar to the Hiro, but is lighter and a little more expensive. Comes in gold or black, both w/polished lip. 18x8.5 $335ea.

It's funny because the Hiro's were what I orginally wanted, but when Dixit put his wheels up for sale I just decided to get his instead. I'll check further into these wheels to make sure they clear before I buy.

I'm not 100% of course, but I'm pretty sure they'll clear. With the option of a 35mm offset and that spoke design, it should clear even the bulky Z calipers. Only $1120 for a set of those Hiros too.

Yeah they say a generous spoke clearance. I PMed Nathan for some measurements so I can get a little better understanding of the spoke clearance. If I got the hiros I would get the 19's. I think the Volks are almost completely out of the pictures.
