Falken Azenis ST-115

Anybody here on the org try these? I've read all the reviews on the 512's, but just wondering how these are. They seem to be comparably priced with the same treadwear...so what's the difference? Their speed rating is the same, but the only difference I see is that one is more of an all season tire (512's) as compared to the "summer" performance tire (115's). Anybody know?!

my buddy has them on his 00 S10 235/35/19 and the tread wear sucks on cold days or night they spin super easy and he is only pushing about 210 to the rear at the most . one positive is that they make great smokey burn outs if you are in to that and i have hear that with the size being between 45 and 55 it has a super stiff side wall so the handeling is great just a little slippery

Wow, reading some of those previous posts makes me kinda sketchy. It seems like the 512's might be a better choice. Any other suggestions for tires in a 235/40/18? I don't race, I really don't drive hard, but I do want something that can hang if need be, and will last me at least 2 years (approx 25k miles.) Suggestions?

Get the Toyo Proxes 4. The T1-s may be overkill for you, but you really don't need all season.

Yeah, I've heard some good things about the Proxes 4, and they seem pretty reasonable. But I've run the older Toyo's (FZ-4's) and I thought they sucked! I'm not sure which way to go, the weather in Hawaii is pretty mild all year round. Like I said, I'm not a crazy driver, but good performance is important, as well as good treadwear.

I have the st-115s on my car right now.. they are great... dont get scared with the pic of hte tires on matt's car in hte other thread. he has a very heavy foot and he goes racing all the time on a course. thats how he messed up the tires.

are these falken st115 stickier than kumho escta mx? roughly they are the same price, both in 235/45/17 size for my 17x7 stock wheels. or are the FK 451's better?

the MX is comparable to the RT-215. Kumho 712 is probably comparable to the ST-115. I had 712, they're probably enough for most people who don't autox, and just play on the streets.

which tires would you prefer for just drag racing? between MX, ST-115, and azenis 415, guys on the forum are saying the ST-115's are very sticky. nice and quiet too! these will prolly outperform most street tires anyways, no?

the flakens st115's are suppose to be the quietest performance tire out there from all the reviews im reading. they are used alot and advertised on car audio sites alot. i have nittos now that i think are good for the rim protection, but can be a little noisey on some roads.. i had toyo proxies too.. they rode really nice, and were quiet, but different offer much protection against bending rims.. for my needs, i think im going to choose the falkens.
