Tire Balancing on Custom Wheels

Ok, I just got my 2k wheels refinished two weeks ago after a local car wash messed them up but that's another story.

I should have gotten my wheels balanced a long time ago but now it really needs it. What do you guys do to ensure that your precious wheels do not get scuffed or scrapped while being balanced on the machine? What do you guys tell the mechanic? I know that custom wheel shops are usually the best places but some of these places will only be careful with the wheels they sell and forget the others.

Thanks.

advise they becareful as their easy to scuff, may not be entirely true but unless they want to buy you a new set of them it would be in their best interest to watch out.

One time I took my truck to a wheel shop. I had a set of Welds Stone Crushers. They laid the rims facing down!!!! I was so damn mad and yelled at the owner because his tech is an idiot. It's a discount tire center store.
