Toyo discontinues Proxes FZ4 + review of Toyo Proxes 4

Had a blowout on my right rear yesterday morning at 6 A.M. on the interstate.

I was rolling with 235/45/17 Toyo Proxes FZ4's on all 4 corners.

Apparently, these tires are now discontinued!

My Max is now sitting on two new Toyo Proxes 4's up front, and I am very impressed with this tire so far. It doesn't "track" in road grooves nearly as bad as the FZ4s did. The new tires seem to hook up better at the line, and I didn't feel as much sideslip during hard cornering, so sidewall rigidity seems to be quite improved over the FZ4s.

Just wanted to share my experience in case anyone is considering these tires, as they seem to be a good replacement for the (discontinued) FZ4's.

Good stuff. Glad to hear this assessment because my Proxes 4's are on backorder. Now I can't wait for them to arrive!

They must be replacing the FZ4 with something even better now.
