stock 99 rims + tire options?

stock 99 rims + tire options?
hey all
i just got a Kal tire credit card, which prettymuch lets me buy tires and/or rims and pay it off monthly.
so now that its alot more easy for me to afford to buy em i want to ask what i should get for tires, mounted on stock 99 rims. the tires i have on right now are so bad...bald in the back and like 30% in front. and theyre 60 high...if that means what i think...
the guy at Kal said that i would have to go with stock tires, on stock rims...and that i had no options.
i want to get something more slim than stock but nothing extreme...something well rounded and that will last.
most of the driving i do is half city half hwy.
can anyone help me out?
