Ok guys, I have had enough of the craptenzas and am looking for tires with good summer and decent rain performance and drivability in snow.

I saw that the Eagle F1 GS-D3 won the top place in few tire reviews (also Car and Driver I think) I can get them for a fair price only on TireRack as the local shops want to charge a small fortune for them and there is no Mileage Warranty (obviously since its a performance tire) On the other hand I can get Toyo TPT for less and get good mileage warranty from my local LesSchwab... I like this specific LS because I have done business with them from a long time and have always been impressed by their customer service.

Any one out there with TPT's care to chime in as to the performance of these tires?

Any other suggestions?

If you're looking for 4-season driveability (UHP) at a good price, go with the Toyo Proxes 4 (NOT the FZ4, btw)...the TPT is not really for performance sedans, but rather for Camrys and minivans.

From what i have read...the Good Year F1s are NOT snow/all season tires. Bad choice for winter.
They do perform more than great in dry/wet but in snow - forget it.

TPT ...if you get them really cheap - may be a good option but they CANNOT compary to the GY F1s when it comes to performance/cornering, etc. TPT are "soft".

I almost bought the Toyo Proxes 4. They are real UHP 4 season tires.

I wanted to stay stock size on the front axle and i ended up getting the Bridgestone TURANZA LS-V. First 500 miles - i like them a lot in both dry and wet. Quiet, smooth and responsive. They get great reviews to. $150/each.
I have dedicated snow tires (Bridgeston Blizzak) so i have not and i will not try the Turanza in snow.

But if you are looking for all-season high performance tires, the best will be Pirelli Pzero Nero Ms or Toyo Proxes 4.

I think Pirellis are actually better because tirerack says that they handle more like high performance summer tires and they are still good in snow.

F1 GS-D3s are NOT acceptable for driving in the snow, they are a max performance summer only tire. Use them in the snow if you don't have a problem with crashing and dying... When you were on tirerack.com apparently you missed the part where it said all snow and ice traction is N/A... meaning it doesn't even apply to this tire as you'd have to be retarded to drive on them in any snow/ice.

The TPT's are nice and all, but they are what I had to settle for since Proxes 4 don't come in my rim size. Personally, I'd pay the extra and get the Proxes 4.
