rotating tires....

are you suppose to rotate the tires front to back and vice versa? or cross the fronts to the rears and have move the rears to the front?

Front to back. Do not crossover. Do not rotate the spare tire.

Rotate every 6,000 to 7,500 miles.

Yep, most all-season tires (excluding ultra-high performance such as Toyo Proxes4) can be crossed as they are non-directional. However, directional tires, like the aformentioned Proxes4, must be rotated front to back as they are designed to only spin one way.
