So you guys are saying that there are some not so intelligent people out there that do stupid things??? I honestly dont get how some people can be so ignorant.

with the amount or information and resources avaiable, one would hope it would drastically reduce.

"stupid things"??? the installer is fully liable for installing the dangerously incorrect tire size. When someone posts/boasts about their "great new idea," others (innocently ignorant) may likely do the same.
