Falken FK-452

I have recently posted a thread about the Pirelli tires, and hearing from people on the org and others that have had them, I have kind of drifted away from them. So now I am looking at the FK-452 series from Falken, its a relatively cheap tire...$815 installed and balanced+free flat repairs+lifetime balancing/rotating, so it's a pretty good deal if you'd ask me. BUT has anyone experienced these tires yet? From what i've been looking at, these tires are relatively new and are an upgrade to the FK-451 series, and that's all that I know of.

So anyone had/have these and willing to voice their opinion?

Thanks in advance.
Dan

Here's a link to the 452's form 1010tire: Click me!

They seem to be ranked really well, overall 4.7/5. Unfortunately, there's no personal comments from anyone. Where are you getting your tires mounted/balanced for $12.50 each? The cheapest I've found (without any risk) is $23 from Firestone; everyone else is more expensive or gives me different answers.

I've looked at those and the Nitto 555NTs for my car. I'm looking at 255/35/20 instead of the stock size. I don't know how your size tire would compare in price, but the best I could find was $580 shipped to my door for four tires. This doesn't include the mounting, etc that you're quoted, but how often do you really get your tires balanced? I think the "free flat repair" is a joke. When you take it in they'll just tell you it's not repairable and try to sell you another tire.

If this is part of some type of extended warranty, then at least you'd get another tire with a discount for the tread left on the punctured tire (most likely). From experience, I've had 4 flats in the past 2 years, 2 of which where within 1 month of each other in the first 3 months of owning my Maxima. The only way the flat wouldn't be repairable is if it was in the sidewall or you had multiple holes close to one another. Of course, that's just my personal opinion.

Edgeracing has them for $134 + shipping or about $150 shipped. Still cheaper than just tires IMHO.

I've been running the 451 on my max for 2 years now. I think those are very good tire for the price, I'm running the 235-45-17 and I have no complaint, I would buy those again.

Cheers
