225/50/17 is perfect size. buy 235/50/17 is also good. those other sizes are not recommended by manufacturer but few people here do use random sizes without any issue but still they are unsafe. go with either 225/50 or 235/50
do you see in my signature picture i am using 235/50/17 no prob.

225-45-17 225-50-17 225-55-17 235-45-17 235-50-17

these will ALL fit, but......

225-45-17 has a shorter sidewall which = firmer for turning, bouncing, and doesn't fill the wheel well as well in the already huge wheel gap. I dont recommend. maybe on a different car.

225-50-17 is obviously stock. fills the wheel well the best. best tire for the stock rims

225-55-17 is much taller. i dont recommend, it'll look fugly.

235-45-17 is wider than the stock tires, but sometimes, it doesn't look good. on oe 2k wheels, i had some yokohamas and kumho 235 45 17 and it look pretty decent. the side wall kinda swelled out a lil bit. it fit fine, just looked a lil off. i also had this size on some aftermarket rims that were same size as oe, and the bulge was noticably bigger. you can go this route, but i would recommend these go on 7.5 in wide rims.

235-50-17. its a lil wide, but i personally don't know hwo this looks on a maxima rim. IMO, i think 235 looks a lil bulgy on the side. 225-50-17 (although not a common size on other cars) is the perfect size for the maxima oe 17x7 wheel.

thank you and have a nice day
