Wheel Balancing on stock 17' rims
Wheel Balancing on stock 17' rims
Quick question..
I'm putting new tires on my stock 17" rims. The weights for the wheels are 'inside' the rim and are glued in. There's no reason to put the other wheel weights on the outside like they do with steel rims? I'm getting these done from a friend of a friend and just wanted to be sure. I hope I'm making sense here.

If they position the stick-on weights correctly, then there is no reason to use the tap-on weights on the outside of the rim. I'll never go back to the tap-on weights again, they ruin the rim. Make sure they stick the weights on the inner and outer part of the inside of the rim - that will give you the best balance.
