That's pretty pointless. If you don't notice your tires are low you're not ging to notice a little blinking light on them...unless they're super bright but it didn't look that way to me.

True UGAd13 and considering radial tires ALWAYS look low, could this be a great idea?

I think so. Why not have a simple cap that blinks when our tire pressure is low a certain point? Any harm?

People who don't check their tires regularly should just be forced to run solid tires.

People who don't check their tire pressure regularly are forced to buy new tires more often. Simply solution, it's a stupidity tax really.

Is there a higher "tax rate" in some states rather than others?!

I've used a clone to those in the past. The problem is they relieve the tire valve, and hold pressure against an o-ring inside the sensor. The top of the tire valve isn't necessarily flat or consistent enough to seal air pressure. It may work with some valve stems, and be miserable with others.

Mine were constantly leaking past that oring, and within a day or so, letting the tires go flat. At times, if I didn't dial them down as tight as possible, they'd audibly leak. It's probably why it's not certified for aviation use.
