Hankook Ventus V4 ES105

Thought id leave my review of these tires:

I was originally looking at Michelin Pilot Sport A/S but spending 273CAD a tire was just too much for me at the time, so i decided id get them just not right now, unforuntely i got a nail in the sidewall of my rear tire, and i needed to get new tires. My stock RE92's had about 20% left in the fronts, and maybe 35 in the rears. My 02 with I/Y/E/UDP on the freeway doing 100KMH in the rain, if i floored it the wheels would spin, i couldnt leave lights in the rain with anything more then 25% throttle, in the dry anything more then id say around 45-50% throttle would result in spin and sqwealing. Im not even going to comment on snow, because i pulled out of my garage to move the car and i got stuck (maybe 3" of snow).

Had the tires for about 1 week now, cost me 126CAD a piece, for that price i could get 8 of these for hte same as 4 pilot sport a/s. Well the day i got them back it started to snow, maybe 2" on the roads the car was much better, of course there not snows so i could still easily spin them, but they were much better. In the rain, id say they are about 150% better, on my RE92's i was hydroplaning on every littel puddle, taking corners in the rain would be scary, with the slightest throttle input id fear understeer. I can now take corners with confidence, roadnoise has been cut in half, and it seems better over bumps. The dry traction is much better, of course if a floor it from a stop i can spin them but i really have to try not like before. The handling of the car has improved considerably. Theres this one corner coming back from richmond, after i got my FSTB and RSB taking the corner at about 130 (rated at 80) i felt the car was being pushed close, now with the new tires 130 seems a lot easier, i wouldnt try any faster, because i dont have the ***** to lol. They also have a nice tread pattern, and look like they have a wider stance compared to the re92's.

I got them in 225/50/17 98W, they are w rated which is up to 168MPH, which i do not plan on doing any time soon.

Overall i highly recommend these tires to anyone on a budget who is looking for some good cheap all season tires.

Thanks for reading
Chris

I have Hankook Ventus V4 ES 245/30/22 and I was wondering what would be the recommended tire psi for the front and rear?Right now I have it at 45. Car has not been lowered or carrying any thing heavy.
