18" HP Design Evos

I got some 245/40 18 HP Design Evos for my I30. They look amazing....... I'm riding no center caps on all four wheels becuase the front axle knocks them out. and the rear dust cover does the same thing. I'm thinking about taking the rear dust covers off would that solve my problem in the back? Also in the front I know gettign wheel spacers would solve the problem but I dont want the tire to stick out at all. I have absolutley no rubbing and i'm on stock suspension. But I am soon getting KYB Gr2 adj. with dropzone drop springs. I'm not worried about rubbing I just want to be able to use my center caps. You guys have any ideas?

I think the best idea is to not get dropzone springs. They are junky. And as far as I know KYB GR2s are not adjustable, they are the tokico HP competitor.

Just trying to help. You'll be worried about it when you're bouncing all over the road like an s-10 riding on the bump stops. I like stiff suspension, but I've ridden in a car with those things and I needed a chiropractor afterwards.

I removed my rear dustcaps for one summer. Although I didn't have any problems, I didn't remove them the next summer....didn't want to risk getting water and other contaminents in there. I just hammered on the dust cap so the rim would fit.

I would imagine installing some 5 or 10mm spacers would eliminate the need to hammer the caps also.

See I would do the spacers but I don't want the wheels to stick out past the fender since they are 245's (8") I'm thinking about the grinding idea for the front becuase theyre is about 1/2 inch of material before the cotter pin hole. And all I need is about 1/8 of an inch. Also in the back I would'nt mind putting in spacers I bet they could use like a 5 mm and it would work perfect. But I may just hit the dust cap in like you said. I'm gona figure it out tomorrow so i'll let you guys know what I do and i'll include some pictures.
