Self removal of tires?

Anyone have a link that explains how to do this?
I know I've seen it somewhere before, but I can't find it.

don't try it. not on automotive wheels anyway. especially low profile ones.
you can always take cutting tools to the tires and remove them, but it's better to just take them to a shop and pay them $5 each to dismount the tires.

i was thinking about this as well to save me time and money getting new tires mounted, but then realized it's not worth the risk of damaging the rim. plus, if i really butchered up the tire, it may make it tough for the shop to get it dismounted.

I took a saw and just cut right across the tire. It was during a holiday and I had to get the tire removed. I recommend getting a shop to do it though.
