Tire Size help 2000 Maxima

Ok first thought I'd mention I'm lowered on S-Techs and Illumina struts and worried about rubbing. I picked up some rims which are 18x7.5 with a 35 offset. What size should I go with to avoid rubbing.

245/40/18 or 235/40/18? I'd prefer the 245 for the agressive stance and is only 0.8% off from OEM, but at the same time trying to avoid any rubbing issues.

Thanks,

I have had 245-40 18 on my 03 and saw no rubbing issues, even w/ S-techs and 15mm spacers(wheel offset was 40mm, 25 w spacers) in the rear.

Rubbing comes with offset as well as width.

What are your wheels offset?

yeah, but on a 7.5" wide rim, go with 235/40/18.

Hell, I have 235/40/18 on my rims, and mine are 8" wide....

245 is pretty thick for a 7.5" rim, IMO.

Didn't realize he had 18x7.5. Definitely recommend 235s. My fault

I'm on Progress springs with a 18x7.5 rim on 235/40's..I juuust slightly rub sometimes. Offset is also 35. Stick with the 235/40's.
