H4S vs. AS430

Okay guys, I need new tires - AGAIN. I have to say that these last BF Goodrich just didn't last at all...though they were better than the stock Bridgestones (but what isn't?). Anyway...

I've narrowed it down to the Yokohama AS430 or the Yokohama H4S. Can anyone give me any insight as to the real difference? Yoko's customer service line didn't really clear anything up.

I know there are many who will recommend any number of other tires, but I'm going for life/treadwear on this go-around, not so much for performance.

Thanks for any help,

Jack

I would reccomend General Exclaim UHP
Cheap, Great Performance, Long Life for a High performance tire...

380 treadwear, AA traction, A temp.

I have had both of those tires and they both are good, the AS430 have been replaced by the Avid though...I would go with the Avid, it has a 60,000mile tread rating and it grips really good on my '02.

I dont have them (yet) , but i am shopping for wheels and very likely they will be my next rubbers...

Read really nice reviews (also a few in the ORG) and they seem to be the best quality for the $
