Will getting tires with a taller sidewall decrease wheel gap?

Will getting tires with a taller sidewall decrease wheel gap?

Greetings,

I have aftermarket wheels with 235/45 ZR17 tires on them. The tires need to be replaced soon. Will investing in 235/55's decrease wheel gap? Also, aside from inaccurate speedo readings, what problems will I run into by going up in size?

Just remember. If you use a tire with a bigger sidewall..especially a 235/55, ill put money on it you will rub if you have any sort of drop.

If you really want to redude wheel gap, lower the car more..thats about the only "proper" way to do it.

Oh and nothing looks worse then a car with 5" of sidewall (5.08 to be exact).
