18x9.5 +30 offset fitment question.....

Hey guys just wondering how much of a fitment problem i will have with rims that are 18x9.5 they also have a +30 offset.... i will be running 225 tires it will have an obvi stretch to it. I will be also be putting in my D2 Coilovers on too.... Im not worried about messing with the fenders.. cuz i will be painting my car too..... But how much effort will be needed to make this work......

I was running 19x9.5's +35's front and rear with 235's and only had slight rubbing issues on big bumps, your wheels will only be 5mm out more than mine where. I have D2's as well; if you were to dial in about -2 to -2.5* of front camber you should have no issues rubbing if you roll your fenders flat. With you running 225's you may not have to slightly "pull" the fender on the fronts... That is going to look hella stretched. 235's look too stretched for my taste.

Picture for reference, my sig is the staggered setup:

hope that helps

Wow very cool! I love rims with a big lip! But it seems like the tire set up exposes the rim a bit too much, I mean if you accidentally run into a curb it'll instantly hit your rim!

But with great rims come great responsibility...

I think it's not a good idea to run 225 on a 9.5" wheel, the tire will be stretch to a point where you run on the side wall > not good at all for safety. If you want to run a 225 tire size then any of the 7" - 7.5" - 8" wide is perfect. On a 9.5" wheel the minimum, I would recommend is at least 245 otherwise your are compromising your safety.

I always thought the only reason for a wider wheel is to accommodate a wider tire. My buddies 99 LS1 camaro has 9.5" wheels and he's running a 275 (stock). Save your money, If your only running a 225 buy 7.5" wheels.

I have seen stretch WAY worse than what OP is trying to do, and i havent really heard of any blow outs or anything...More like bent rims and what have you...

Its the look. sitting flush with stretch pokin barrel out of your fender is gangstarrr just not very practical...

Its just a style with imported cars basically...
