http://tires2.costco.com/product.asp...1-00de7c743eef

I dont know I just cant come up with a better tire for $90.

I live in sort of a rural area and theres no discount tire here.

Is there any better tire really remotely close in price?

im going to buy them today.

two for the front.
I have mismatched tires on the back one bfgoodrich and one micheline both are like 80% though.

there are less expensive tires out there but ive ran/am running the Bridgestone RE950's on my stock sawblades for a while and they work well enough for DD and in the rain. Got them from costco too. You can't go wrong with the well-known brands. Check out local tire shops and see what they offer if you want less expensive. just know what you are getting.

not a fan of mismatched tires as they will perform differently when driven hard, just be careful. fine for normal daily driving though.

+1.

The 225/50/17's are $195 each.

Dont get me wrong. Costco's tire program is great. Its the only place that I buy tires, but the $90 you showed is a bit misleading for most of us.

Those are my tires

I have 205 65 15

I dont see the pole position cheaper through discount tire or tire rack

is there a cheaper tire out the door ( shipping) that they sell thats better than a pole position?

For that price I would definitely grab those. For all-season tires, those and the michelin pilot sport A/S seem to be the best from the reviews I have read. Costco does carry the michelins, but the arent listed on the website. Go to costco and ask about them. I would assume they are more expensive than the bridgestones.

You are not factoring in the installation. Costco has a $15 per tire installation.

So for 2 of the bridgestones at costco, its would be $210 installed out the door with lifetime free flat repair, lifetime balancing, lifetime rotation (personally i rotate myself so i dont use this). Oh....and dont forget the all important nitrogen in the tires!!!

For the Falkens purchased online, it would be $170 plus $10 per tire mounting, and $10+ per tire balancing which would also bring you to at least $210 without the other lifetime benefits.

And although I dont have any personal experience with either tire, i think the bridgestones are better tires from what I have read.

ok those are 10 cheaper delivered....

or 5 each. or perhaps they are the same or a little more expensive when you consider the roadside warranty costco has.

HOWEVER, are they better? are those falkens better than bridgestone potenza 960?

i dont have experience with those either, arent those cheaper tires? Are they the best falkens at least?

These are the best bridgestones.

if there was a discount tire here Id go there though you dont need to sell me. Without shipping, those are cheaper and I bet they are good.

I do actually have experience with both potenza pole position and michelin pilots and potenzas handle way better.

and yes costco sells them for 115 each or 25 a tire more for a worse tire that has a longer tread warranty.
