245mm wide tire on a 9" wide wheel?

Has anyone ever put a 245mm wide tire on a 9" wide wheel? I'm having rubbing issues (just a very slight rub in the front with hard cuts or bumps) with my current 255 mm setup and am considering swapping out to 245mm tires. Will the 245mm fit properly and will it look alright or will they look stretched out?

Thanks!

You should list the full spec of the tires + wheels and your gen.
Ex: 245/40/18 for tires and 18x9 +30 for wheels on 4th gen.

I have 18x9 +30 with a 245 on the front of my 5th gen and I have no rubbing issues. They do not look stretched at all.

what's the full tire size? 245- ? /18
what wheels do you have?
what year max?

I personally had 18x9 rims on my 5th gen with 255-35-18 and never experienced any rubbing but i was also stock 4x4 ride height.

I now own a 4th gen 98 and currently have 18x9.5 with 245-40-18 and lowered about 3.5 inches or an inch from the ground to lip and have slight rubbing but thats only on sharp, hard cornering turns.

If you choose to go to a 245 you should be fine.
what is your current tire size 255- ? /18

I had 245/40/18s on an 8.5" wide and no rubbing. Definitely no stretchy look either; in fact they look pretty beefy, almost too beefy.

Does anyone happen to have a decent pic of their 245mm tire on a 9" wide wheel? I'm trying to determine if its going to look stretched at all.

Thanks.

225 will look stretched, 245 will fit nicely.
