2000 VI swap generic hardware list
2000 VI swap generic hardware list
For those who got a 2000 VI upper without the OEM hardware I have complied a list of generic bolts that can be used instead.
2 of M5 x 0.8 x 16mm - these are the bolts for the VIAS piece on the passenger side.
4 of M6 x 1.0 x 16mm - These are the bolts for the VIAS piece on the driver's side.
2 of M6 x 1.0 x 70mm - These bolts are for the EGR up pipe, just drop them in from the VIAS and bolt them up to the "boomerang" piece of the EGR.
3 of M6 x 1.0 x 100mm - These are the long bolts that hold the 2000 VI upper to the 2000 lower.
3 of M6 x 1.0 x 130mm - These are the longest bolts and they also hold the 2000 VI to the 2000 lower.
ALL OF THE ABOVE BOLTS SHOULD BE INSTALLED WITH A LOCKING WASHER AND A NORMAL WASHER. They are not flange bolts like the OEM hardware and as such need something to keep them from moving. Also some of these bolts are close to OEM length and the washers make them fit ok.
2 of M6 x 1.0 Flange nuts - These go on the two threaded inserts of the lower. You can use a normal nut but mine vibrated loose over time. I went out and got some flange nuts from a local hardware store.
4 of M8 x 1.25 x 60 mm - These bolts are what hold the 2000 TB to the 2000 VI. They can be installed with a locking washer only. Thats how the OEM ones are.
Also you can re use the 4th gen lower hardware with the 2000 lower if you did not get that hardware.
