fuel injector repair

OK just ordered this http://www.ebay.com/itm/FUEL-INJECTOR-REPAIR-KIT-O-RINGS-PINTEL-CAPS-FILTERS-FITS-NISSAN-INFITITI-V6/401062213450?_trksid=p2045573.c100034.m2102&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160824094423%26meid%3D47cdaa5db7a4452c87805c32d51fcca0%26pid%3D100034%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D8%26sd%3D401062213450and am hoping it will tune up the injection system. I didn't see any technical info in the workshop manual about removing the Pintel and filters. Has anyone replaced the Pintels and filters?

I tested all my FI's and they are all good. I removed the old pintels and now waiting on new ones to arrive. 1/2 of them broke while being removed.

I think I may clean them too. I found this video. That illustrates this process. How many amps at 12V do I use?

Well maybe not I think I had a bad one that was leaking. I ran it through a flow test after putting the new screens in and found one that doesn't close.

I guess the deal is you test them replace the bad ones with new injectors then re-screen the old ones that check out and put them all back in.

see the erratic spray pattern to the right? I presume this one was leaking too resulting in the P0420 or P0430.
It's the one right by the fuel pressure regulator. I wonder if all the Maxima's develop a leaky injector on #5?

Maybe I wound up buying all new injectors.
Problem was I couldn't determine exactly which ones were ok to put back. i had been getting emissions code when things really began heating up. I went to auto zone and one of the sales guys said need new catalyst.
Well it weighed heavy on my mind. I believe what we have here is a faulty/leaky injector.

Are Remanufactured injectors basocally salvaged? There's no "core" on these things

I tried remanufactured injectors and immediately I saw smoking from the rear area in the bay.

Since the fuel pressure gauge is on order and still waiting for it, could a faulty pressure regulator cause injectors to cut out and smoke?
At this point it's a bit of guess work.

I immediately thought bad injectors so they came out and went back and I ordered all new Hitachi.

The engine just began cutting out and the idle dropped to approx. 250RPMs and white/grey smoke began pouring out of the exhaust followed by a strong smell of fuel.
I began unplugging the injectors on 2-4-6 up front as the engine ran and didn't notice any difference in engine speed after unplugging 2 and 4. but noticed a bit of change after unplugging 6.
