hey guys an gals i have a 95 5 speed engine has 170xx trans has 300xxx i am have a wierd noise from the trans i have some videos of it its not ips bearing or any suspension componant im thinkin it diff carrier bearings . when i push the clutch in while driving the noise goes away. if its in neutral parked clutch in or out there is no noise. if i let it roll in neutral there is no noise. the noise is very noticable in first gear and in second third i dont hear it. heres the videos there are three

I would just drive it until it explodes if you don't want to tear it apart

sounds like the transmission v.inputshaftbearing

same thing happened to mine before it went out...eventually you are going to have a hard time putting the car into gear, then eventually you are not going to be able to put it into gear. you might want to start trans shopping

You can only hear it when the car is idle (cause it's quiet then), but it's making that noise constantly my friend.

It's not that hard to drop a tranny to check it out, just did a tranny swap monday in 2hrs in a parking lot.

When you drop the tranny, you can check your input shaft for play, if it has play it's definitely the bearing, if it doesn't it could still be other bad bearings but atleast it's not the common ISB problem.

You saw my video post in my other thread, check my youtube, if that sounds anything like your car, I would definitely drop the tranny and see if the input shaft has play, and if there are any leaks.

It's not a seller, junkyards list their parts on there for people to find them.

Like a craigslist for used auto parts to say...
