5 speed trans issue need input
hey guys an gals i have a 95 5 speed engine has 170xx trans has 300xxx i am have a wierd noise from the trans i have some videos of it its not ips bearing or any suspension componant im thinkin it diff carrier bearings . when i push the clutch in while driving the noise goes away. if its in neutral parked clutch in or out there is no noise. if i let it roll in neutral there is no noise. the noise is very noticable in first gear and in second third i dont hear it. heres the videos there are three
oh clutch is new tob is new
1st vid u can hear it well it like a clicking sound and axles are new all suspension is new

sounds like the transmission v.inputshaftbearing
same thing happened to mine before it went out...eventually you are going to have a hard time putting the car into gear, then eventually you are not going to be able to put it into gear. you might want to start trans shopping

It's not that hard to drop a tranny to check it out, just did a tranny swap monday in 2hrs in a parking lot.
When you drop the tranny, you can check your input shaft for play, if it has play it's definitely the bearing, if it doesn't it could still be other bad bearings but atleast it's not the common ISB problem.
You saw my video post in my other thread, check my youtube, if that sounds anything like your car, I would definitely drop the tranny and see if the input shaft has play, and if there are any leaks.

You can only hear it when the car is idle (cause it's quiet then), but it's making that noise constantly my friend.

i think maybe i didnt explain well enough i just had this tranny out not to long ago no play on the ips shaft IT DOES NOT MAKE ANY NOISE AT IDLE ONLY WHEN ITS IN GEAR hence i think its in the diff does any one know some one sellin a tranny i need one i cant put the car outa commision for long so i wanna take mine out and rebuild it but i need another one classified arent hitting on much
