I know that you can buy new motor mounts/inserts or the traction bars, but im looking for a temp way to reduce it. I remember reading about a tow strap being used but i was a auto at the time and didnt pay much attention to it. Any other suggestions?

Zip tie front springs to keep them from raising during the launch. Then, you can put in rubber or metal spacers on the rear springs to raise the rear of your car and keep it from dropping during the launch. Also, you can jam some flattened heater hose in your motor mounts if you don't want to remove them and fill them with polyurethane (messy, but simple). Originally Posted by wunfstmax

A tow strap on your motor will do wonders though. I've seen many big block domestics at the drag strip not using a tow strap, but using a chain or bar that looks much like a parallel link from an independant rear suspension or a traction bar for an import.
Also, get better tires! Go out and buy slicks and that'll help your times more than anything. Launch at 5-6K and let the clutch go!
If your tranny holds together, then you will have a nice 60 foot time.Zip ties help somewhat but the best "way" to get rid of wheelhop cheaply is going to the track on big events, when they put tons of clue. Too bad it only happens a few times a year.

Aaron92SE: Where can you buy polyurethane? I've searched the web and can't find anything. I'd like to do this. What's the cost, around $50? Sorry for the ignorance.

One order of it should be enough for up to 5 mounts. I did all 4 of my mounts and spilled and leaked some and still had some left over. I think they sell it by the pound. My order came to about $22-25 or so.
