15.90 1/4 mile time

i ran a 15.90 with

18 inch axis seven mods
short ram intake
1 stone racing header installed
stone racing y pipe
stock cat
2.5 inch mandrel bent b pipe
no resonator
megan racing muffler with 4.5 inch outlet
my car is a 1996 automatic with 112,000 mile
no weight reduction
and about a 400 pound system

15.40

everything as above with the addition of the 2nd header and a high flow cat

next im planning on doing the motostorm UDP $109

im thinking i might dop down to 15.20

after that TS 7100 ECU $700

might drop down to 15

and then zex 75 shot

hoping for low 14's

the headers are awesome for $300 you cant beat them they took off about 6 tenths of a second by adding the headers (my guess)

I have a question. How do you have 400lbs worth of stereo equipment in your car? I know that if you have a show quality setup where your entire back seat and trunk is a mass of subs, amps, caps, MDF and fiberglas, it will weigh alot. But I see people post about how they have 100, 200, 400lbs worth of stereo crap in their car on the .org all the time. Back when I had stereo stuff I had two 10" Rockford Punch Powers, a 400 watt amp, and a sealed box and the entire setup weighed probably 75lbs. What the F do you have in your maxima that weighs 400lbs? 22 subs and 15 amps or what?

BTW if you are thinking of adding a TS ECU and then nitrous you might want to do a little more reading on that subject. Hate to see a blown motor.

Why don't you just put on your stock rims and take out the system instead of buying go fast mods to make you as fast as you should be stock?

What I don't understand is why did you go to the track if you only had on one SR header? why ould you even install one header?

My point is that TS ECU gives you advanced timing and leaner AFR. You have these things then add nitrous and you could end up blowing your motor.

18 inch axis seven mods
short ram intake
1 stone racing header installed ( at the moment i had only put on the front one didnt have time to put on the rear on i installed the rear one the next weekend)
stone racing y pipe
stock cat
2.5 inch mandrel bent b pipe
no resonator
megan racing muffler with 4.5 inch outlet
my car is a 1996 automatic with 112,000 mile
no weight reduction
and about a 400 pound system

next i ran a 15.40

15.40

everything as above with the addition of the rear header and a high flow cat

next im planning on doing the motostorm UDP $109 i think that will drop me down to 15.2

after that TS 7100 ECU $700 might drop down to 15 and then

i ran a 15.6 with my stock infinti I30 (97). those times seem way off for all those mods u should prob be way faster. and i ran with my system in my trunk which is prob just as heavy if not heavier than yours. and the I30 is heavier than the max over all anyway. i saw a thread that u changed ur knock sensor that could have been the culprit.

^ yea i assume it would be KS that made him run stock number. There hasn't been enough info to say that a UDP will make you run any faster/slower YET.

have you ran your car on the dyno yet?

I ran a 15.6 stock in my auto. I have the Stone Montain Headers too. But I am going to remove the header parts and just keep the y-pipe for now because I am going to send them off to get Jet hot coated, with mingos turbo pipe kit. I want to go back to the track before and see how much of a difference between my stock time and the header times.

why would you run with your system? and unless you have like 10000 watts i dont think 3 amps a 12 and dyna matt adds up to 400lbs
