~~~Im running my car this saturday 5/12/07~~~
This is just going to be a test day, because I finaly got the nitrous kit and all of its components installed. However I have not gottin my Y-pipe in and have a broken rear motor mount. Im going to make a couple of easy passes down the track pulling the spark plugs after each run. If everything is ok I will have the rest of my parts including a couple of polly motor mounts installed and then see what it'll really run. If not I just might have to have a walbro put in when the mounts are being changed.
I'd personally just spend the time putting in the Y and mounts, and wait for the track. You are going to be so much happier when you get the Y installed and the urethane mounts. I'm in the same boat...can't wait to get to the track, but don't want to go until I install my clutch, motor mounts, all front urethane bushings installed. I just know I'll be unhappy with the timeslips.
Shhh n00b!
Back on topic...With your mods, you will be pretty damn close to an STi if he is a mediocre driver, and you're an excellent driver. Also, if you tune properly and get rid of some weight that will help significantly.
