I was going to go this friday, but I don't think I can afford it right now. I'll probably go next friday.

I don't understand why a lot of people I know don't consider nitrous as a legit power adder. They seem to disregard it and act like it's a cheap and easy way out. They also think I'm going to blow my engine. Power is power...

I hear that **** everyday.

When I had my camaro, I'd use to try to hit the 03-04 cobras up to race. They'd say, "Oh, well you're on nitrous." I'd say, "Well, you have a blower it should be even."

Then I just said, "You cut your blower belt and I'll take out the bottle!"

Yeap! All that matters is who makes it to the finish line first. I line up next to turbocharged cars all the time. I don't complain. I just hope I cut a good light.

For 1/4 mile racing, which is what you're doing, nitrous is awesome. If you were road course racing, you may rethink your strategy.

But, power is power. Well said!

^^

I'm glad you guys agree with me.

It wouldn't matter if I could afford to go to the track today because it's closed due to weather.

I never heard any bs from people at the track either. It's probably because most of them are there to race there own car and they have respect for other racers. They probably know a bit more about cars than your typical bench racer too. lol.

You wanna to go to the track with me next Friday?

I actually managed to over-hear some people at the track and they were actually downing my car. Downing me especially for even being there. Didn't matter what I had in the car, if it wasn't a domestic that had $20k+ in credit card debt put into it, they didn't care.

Going to the track this wednesday and possibly friday depending on weather and money.

That's ****ed up!

Hmm... A LOT of people were looking at my car with a funny look on their face (before I made a pass). I saw some honda guys in the staging lanes pointing and laughing, but i hadn't run yet either....

There's tons of people at the track. Almost all of them are running a muscle car. Some of them are running a honda. If you run a 12.xx pass in a four door nissan, they're like wtf...

Yeah, ain't it great? A couple of years ago I was at a Friday night grudge meet at KCIR, and when I was pulling around the cars near the staging lanes, I saw a group of the locals with Mustangs looking me over, what with my lowered car, open headers and slicks on the front, and I heard one say while shaking his head "That's just wrong".. That made my evening......

Yep.

I remember seeing countless people walking through out the staging lanes, stop and look at my car with the most dumbfounded look on their face. Priceless!
