My dilemma that some of you may know about

Here is the past...

You know my oil leak I had . Well, I thought everything was fine
now. This afternoon I was driving and I noticed smoke from my car
from the exhaust. But it went away after a couple of seconds. Then
at every stop light at the top of 2nd gear smoke would come out. So
I turned around and went home. Stayed there put oil in the car. Went
outside just now and everybit of that oil I put in is now out on the
ground draining onto the side of the street under my front left
tire. It looks to be dripping from the same place. The bottom of the
Transmission. What luck huh?!?!

Im going to do the work myself hopefully along with some help from
this guy down the street from my moms house. He has a earlier model
of the Mitsu Eclipses. He's done engine swaps on his own car in his
garage and all sorts of stuff. So Im going to ask him if he'll help
out. Ill Pay him to help too. Hell, itll be less expensive than
taking it to a shop. I gotta get ahold of him first. Ive been sick
with the flu for a couple of days. The worst part is its snowing
down here in Central Texas too. Which is a first. So it may take
awhile. Wish me luck!

Well, I started working on my car today to find 6 full quarts of oil
in my engine not counting the amount that spilled onto the ground
when I came outside that one day. I changed the oil, oil filter and
even put in engine restorer. My car sounds like its missing. like a
chug, chug, chug, chug, chug. Like on old chevy basically. Now all I
can think of is uneven or low compression through out some
cylinders. Now whats popping in my head is a new engine. Which
bites. Im going to have that one guy across the street from my moms
house look at it and help me out. To top that off. I turned on my
lights to see if everything still works. My indiglo gauges went on,
then went off. I take it its the fuse. Everything so far is not
looking so good. I feel like the guy who has a tight system in his
car but nothing else works right. But I got some thump though!!
lol.. I had to add some humor to this thread.

Now that you are uptodate on things.

While working on my car myself. I pulled a spark plug to find an oil substance on it. I had my old autolites from when my cars new heads and stuff
were put on and I compard the two. No weird smell on the autolites
nor the little bit of oil substance on them compared to my NGKS. Im stuck in a hard spot now. Im thinking a new used engine with no oil leaks or shot piston rings would probably be easiest and cheapest to do. I dont know Who was it that was selling their car as a parts car?

Wow man, I wish I was closer to you. Be more than happy to help fix your car. Hopefully 2 sets of hands at it should do alright. Best of luck to you, and let us know if you hit snags or anything. Can definately help you out!

with the level of oil so high, I'd suggest looking closer at the oil you pulled out...it sounds like your engine is "making oil", or, in otherwords, you have a water leak in the engine, mostlikely from a blown head gasket, or warped head...

But this is just what it sounds like to me...

I skimmed the post. Sounds like a total rear main seal failure. If you are losing that much oil, don't drive it until it's fixed.
