Found some pics...56k die in a ditch.

...prior to breaking my engine crossbeam.

Mmmmmm Eibach 1.2" drop, and 18's. The 5 lug conversion was definately worth it.

Man, my rear bumper cover is fawked. Stoopid Expedition. I don't think anyone on the .org except local guys saw the Magnaflow exhaust I put on.

Because it's the loaded SE, not a GL/GXE.

roger: If I remember right, I gave you the idea...you're the first one to do it.

touchy, touchy . i do remember that. It originally started with me getting my hands on some nice wheels and later finding out that they are 5-lug. I thought of getting some spacers. I asked a question I think on 2nd gen maxima yahoo group. You said to try and change the suspension to a 3rd gen. I did that, worked fine. Everyone found out that I rule, and I am still king (JUST KIDDING)
Always much love for Sarin and my peeps(hehe)

nice sarin!!! I have always loved your second gen...it makes me miss mine. Bigger wheels and a drop set the second gen off.

when are you going to put in kalsc's turbo in your SE. would love to see a dyno after that. And are you thinking of putting z31 turbo internals to lower the compression ratio? so you can go to higher levels of boost

With the turbo I have I expect 10psi tops else the T3 is just becomes a heat pump. I plan to turbo the N/A motor for now, toast it, then get a VG30ET and put it in. Right now I just don't have the time or the money to put into it now in it's current condition. That might change soon...who knows.

Seriously, I need a new rear bumper....and the rear end untweaked. Hey Wylie.....where are you dood!

Please post progress of your turbo project whenever possible. I respect any car that has some speed to go with it.

Yup, 1977-84 Datsun/Nissan 810/Maximas are RWD.
That's what makes the 1st gen cooler than all others.

J/K (somewhat)

If and when the inline six in my Maxima bites the dust
I'll drop in a SBC or perhaps a built up Datsun I6 or
even a BMW I6 and make it a drift/rally car.
I'd love to turbo my L24E, that's another idea I've
had for a while.

***IF*** that motor ever goes - the choice would be an L28ET. SBC are actually a very tight fit in the bay. Much more so than in a Z car, and you've gotta keep it Nissan anyway.

There are a few people with L28ETs in 1st gen Maximas and they are very quick, and have that unmistakeable turbo whine!
