Fuel regulator temp sensor

I’ve been wondering if a broken fuel pressure regulator temp sensor cause cold start stalling or hard starts? I saw a temp sensor spade connector broken off and the wire was laying over the timing cover.

Also, the Fuel Temp Sensor which is screwed into the FPR and has the contact that you are talking about is not the problem. It is there to tell the computer when the fuel temp is high so that the computer can compensate for high fuel temp by raising the pressure a negligible amount. In reality it is Nissan over engineering and you can drive with it disconnected with no adverse effect.
from a Z31 site so still the same VG30E, i'd almost check fuel pressure and change the fuel filter first
