Greetings all! How in the world do I remove the I injectors from the rail?? I ordered reman injectors and it looks like I re use the cup at the top of the rubber hose so I’m worried about just ripping everything off. Anybody have experience with removing these?? Door tag says it’s a 1988. The look of the injectors is a 1987. Thanks in advance!
that is correct you have to get a blade and cut it out vertically and it'll come off however you need to get new hoses they have to be the same length on one side and other is a little longer they have to be fuel injection hose you can get them at Autozone, I rebuild mine with new hoses and reuse the cap since they locked it in place on the hose, believe me they are snug and stays in place.
I personally would see if a 3rd Gen Fuel-rail would work or a 3rd Gen LIM and fuel rail would work just to get a safer setup. I can mail you a 3rd Gen fuel rail for an experiment...
