My impression of the VQ falling flat on its face above 5600rpm vs the VE...

VQ VE

I've raced my friends 4th gen auto with intake from a roll and wasn't very impressed. We were side by side the whole time. I know I would destroy him off the line though

I used Andi's 97 5spd dyno from www.boostaholic.com for the 4th Gen, and then Lordrandall's VE dyno posted in the dyno forum. Both of the dynos were listed as 67-68rpm/mph, which is 3rd gear for both.

Good job Steve, thanks.

When my engine is cold the torque is just plain scary sometimes, and what's amazing is the VQ puts out a little bit more

Anyone want to see how a MEVI stock VQ compares to a VE30DE ?

EDIT: You 3rd gen VE 5spd guys might want to pull 100lbs out of your cars at the track. Why you ask, I'll show you in a later post. LOL tease

Yeah I'm sure if I weighed as much as these bone stock under 3000lb GXE guys I could pull off just as good times.

Then it is not stock for stock we would have to do something to get even, like...port the intake and match it. Also why would a MEVI pull harder then the Variable on the VE? that is something to dig into.

I say for giggles, match up the VG with either the VQ or the VE

I'm being serious though. I can try and find a dyno

I 2nd that, however here you go http://www.geocities.com/nismo87se/V...vsVQ-MEVI.JPG. Cut and paste if it doesn't work. I added the VG30E dyno.

You have to also remember that Randal thinks he's having some VI engagement problems. So the his dyno could actually be a little low in the 4000 and up rpms. Such a cool comparasion.

His dyno actually looks pretty good down low. However compared to the VG30DE it gets owned hehe.
