good grief!

so i'm driving down the road and all of the sudden i hear this....ding, ding.....ding, ding.......my seatbelt light came on and the damn bell starts going off. what's that all about? both seatbelts were on. anybody else experience this?

[sarcasm]Hmm, yeah, that's a new one! I've never heard of this one before... you might be on to something[/sarcasm]

About 75% of 3rd gen Maximas have had this problem. The latch switch on the motorized seat belt mechanism gets loose and signals that the seatbelt isn't locked into place. You can eaither try to have the dealer replace it under the lifetime seatbelt warranty or you can do a search and jump the wire so it always thinks it's down and latched. Search is on the top right of the screen. Use it frequently because chances are if a problem is new to you, it's been posted on the board before.
