UDP Install gone wrong...help!

Ok, I planned on putting my ASP UDP on last night. I had everything apart, belts off, CS pulley off, and jammed the other one on. When I tried the belts that came with it, they wouldn't fit! If they were a 1/4 inch bigger they would've fit perfectly. Now because of this, I broke my tensioner(sp) pulley for the power steering and water pump. Gotta pay almost $200 to get that fixed! Anyway, question is, the UDP was used along with the belts, so how come they wouldn't fit? I know I did everything right, I had my cousin/mechanic standing over me the whole time! Any help is greatly appreciated.

the belts they tell you aren't the right size unfortunately, also you may have a little trouble fitting the pulley on; if that's the case, you may need to sand the inside of the hole to make it a little bigger

a couple people have posted the correct belt numbers here before so you should be able to find it in the search

sorry to hear about that

I broke my power steering pump bracket when doing my clutch install

My friend and I were lucky to find one at a junkyard for $30 or so. It would be a pain to replace without removing the axles, but doable. We had the axles out for the clutch job anyway so it wasn't that hard to do.

good luck

Thanks for the help. $30 for the pulley isn't a bad price, brand new from the dealer they're over $60. I'll search for the correct size belts.
