Weird little switch on drivers door

On on my drivers side door panel right above the 4 window buttons there is a strage little switch. it's got an LED on it, and only goes one way. All it does it lower the drivers side window. Is there some hidden purpose for this switch that i am missing? Is it supposed to be for an auto-down function?

You just answered your own question. It is an express down function so when you want your window down all the way in a hurry.

I suppose i did. But what baffled me was that it does the same exact thing as the normal drivers button. Mine does not make it go down automatically. And how can one answer their own question? i didnt know if thats what it did for sure.

Mine sort of still works

Mine use to work fine but now when I use it the window won't go back up for ten minutes. Course I found this out in the middle of a rain storm.

next time that happens, push the up button on the controls, let go, then wait about 5-10 sec and try to roll it up again. sounds like the auto-down button isn't stopping when it should and overheating the circuit (it's got a thermal circuit breaker in it to keep from burning up the window motors if you hold a button down too long).

Does anyone know of an easy way to fix this?

when i first got my max, it worked liked it was suppose to, later on it would roll the window down only half way and stop....i took the door panel off one time to remove my door speaker and when i put the panel back on, the button worked like new and is still workin correctly...don't know what fixed the problem though!
