nitrous and S-AFC

i have purchased a JG Edelbrock nitrous kit used for 350. it is a wet kit and i have a chance to buy a used Apexi S-AFC for 200 and have some honda friends that have experiacne with the vafc and can help tune my car and was wondering if its worth the money. i have search and have read many posts usually stating the jwt ecu @ $600 is better, but i think for the money, the safc @ $200 will be better especially if i go turbo down the road. so please tell me what you think thanks

Re: nitrous and S-AFC

comparing the AFC to the JWT ECU is apples to oranges, while similar the JWT does much more than air/fuel adjusting like the AFC...IMO with a correctly setup moderate shot nitrous system I see no need for an AFC!

It would be crazy to get stroker kit, considering it lowers the max rpm the engine would turn. Also there is no way in hell a VG30 is going to make over 280hp @ flywheel and use pump gas or be streetable. Save the trouble and money from getting a stroker kit and buy a VG33E. Just get a VG30DETT crank, eagle rods, custom 10.1cr pistons and that is all you need. The motor will be able to handle over 500hp if you don't blow the headgasket first. Then do the headwork, cams and full bolt ons with a direct port setup for nitrous. I figure a built VG33E should dyno around 170-185whp and with 150 shot around 300-330whp. Given slicks and excellent driving/suspension setup the car should run 12s.
