Help! Somethings wrong with my Max

I went to start my car this morning and it started up fine, but when I put the car into drive, the rpm's dropped way down and the car just died. I tried it again, and the same thing happened. I checked the transmission fluid and its fine. Anybody have any ideas? Anything would be helpful.

Something like this happens to my best friends 97 240SX. We haven't found the cause of the prob, but try hitting the revs up for a while. About a half min or so of keeping it at about 4 or 5 and it should be running fine. When you do get the answer to this question let us all know.

Where's the PCV valve located in a 92' Maxima SE?

That kind of thing happened to me when my tranny went bad. Was driving it, the whole car started shaking, I pulled over, and it dies. I tried starting it up in drive, and it shook and died, then I started it up in P, worked, N, worked, any gear, shake and die. I had no problems prior, mechanic said something got stuck in the radiator or something from the rain.. I dunno.

Best bet is to get yourself a factory service manual. For the long haul of course.

I have a 92' Max GXE. I had the same problem, just about anyways. When I would start it up, and put it in drive or reverse, the engine would die. If the engine was hot though, I was able to drive it. It turned out to be the tranny.
