AC compressor shuts of on fan setting 4

Has anyone ever had the problem of AC compressor shuts of on fan setting 4? The compressor is turning on the other three fan settings. As soon at you put it on 4 the clutch dissengages. Put it on 3, it re-engages. Kinda weird.

Definately need fan 4 inn Phoenix.

Faulty switch on setting 4? Or maybe it's low on freon/coolant.

3 would be colder than 4, it just doesn't circulate as fast.

When you switch between fan setting 3 and 4, it is like you are turning off the A/C button, the compressor clutch clicks off imediately. When you switch back to 3, it clicks back on. It seems like it would be a bad switch, but I don't know what other circuitry is involved to actuate the compressor.

I suppose I can just start replacing stuff.
