engine whine... ps pump or bearings??

Hey,

I know there's been a few threads about this in the past, but has anyone solved this problem??? (I can't search)

It's sorta like a power steering whine as the engine accelerates.

I also have a worn bearing sound when the engine accelerates, especially loud around 2,500 rpms... I can only seem to do it when the car is moving AND the engine revs are up, if I drop the revs it goes away, which kinda rules out a wheel bearing. My friend had his bearings go in his tranny over the summer on a 92SE, so I have a feeling it might be this...

any ideas??

from my experience the power steering pump would make noise when the wheel is moved or when the car is first turned on after it has been sitting for a while. Not sure about the other stuff but good luck and let us know what you come up with
