It's this a fair price for labor/timing belt

I just purchased a timing belt, water pump, and all the other parts neccesary to correctly replace the timing belt; I got them from Courtesy Nissan. I called my mechanic and ask him how much would he charged me to replace the aformetioned parts? He sais $200.00 for everything. Is this reasonable?

Thanks.

I paid near 300 for parts and labor at a non-dealer and non-oem parts.

200 sounds good to me.

I think the belt itself is like a 4 to 5 hr job plus another 1/2 hr for H2o pump at $55-$60/hr usually so yeah sounds like a good deal if you trust him.

Yeah, I trusted him a lot. He's the one I always go to.

I'll drop it off next week, thanks.

A good mechanic is like a good barber, once you find one you stick with them thru thick and thin. Even if his price may be slightly above the avg price. At the end it worth every penny
