Listen I dont know about the non responding of the keypad. But listen everyone can lock there car who have a keypad all you have to do is press the lock button. Anyways about the code it is located underneath your dashboard I have told many people about this. When you look underneath the glovebox Like as if you were looking at the back of it you will notice I belive a little diag. box and on this box there are three sets of codes. The code that starts with an S is your code for example S# 7991519 a 7 digit code. If you look in your car manual just follow the keyless entry directions of how to set up your own code. At first when I asked the dealer to check the code for me they said that they would have to run the VIN number and to do something else, which would cost me $30.00 but I know someone at the dealer who told me that all they do is climb under neath the glove box and on your left hand side you will see it and there is the code. Or simply enough you can remove the glove box which take two seconds and you will see the little diag. box on your right with the code. Anyways good luck...

You're lucky, mines doesn't even respond it's lifeless. once every 3 days I may press the start button and get a beep but after that it's back to grave.

i tried to see that code on the box but the numbers are so faded they are pretty unreadable. I guess I am out of luck on that feature I don't think I want to pay $100 for them to give me the code.
