I'm doing the swap as we speak. It should be done at the end of the week. I'm waiting on my clutch kit. I am getting the swap done for free. Its a long story. I do know that all the parts not including the new clutch kit cost $1400. I'll tell you how things go next week.

I'm prety sure that the computer needs to be changed too. It came with all the others parts nessesary for the swap. I'm gonna try out the original computer first to see if it works. If it doesn't then I will switch it with the 5-speed one. I also have a computer from a VE which I am gonna try. If I'm luchky I think it might work and I might see some gains. I'm thinking that since it was used on a engine with more hp then the fuel/air ratio is higer resulting in more hp for my VG. I really dought that it will happen. But hey I might get lucky. I should be done tommorow and I'll tell you how things go.

Damn tranny shop. Went by there today thinking my max was done and they told me to wait till next week. After it has sat there for over a month they just today got all the parts for the conversion. I was so pissed. They said that it shoild be fairly easy to do the chageover with all the parts. These guys are a bunch of idiots so I'll find out. I'm not to sure how much the labor would cost on the conversion. Mine is free due to some bad experiences with the tranny shop. It was either the swap or I sued thier asses. Now I think that after the swap I'm gonna sue them anyway. My car has sat at the shop for the past 8 months out of the year and they havent been able to get the tranny to work right for a whole week. I hoping they dont srcrew shiit up too much when they put in the 5-speed or it will be their ***.
