I would check it, with the engine running, just to make sure. Not enough fluid in an auto = bad things

about the fluid...make sure your fluid level is correct because too much or not enough can be bad...

a little confused

ok, so what i am reading so far is that all a tranny cooler is some fluid? i thought it was an actual mod, cause i hear people telling me if you get a shift kit or valve body mod you should get the tranny cooler too so i thought it was something you actually do to the tanny (take it out or whatever). can someone please explain to me a little more please, very interested. also how much did it cost you and was it hard to put in or pour or whatever...thanks

well hes the low down, our auto maximas have a tendancy to overwork the tranny and overheat it thus causing pre-mature failure, now a tranny cooler is just a mini radiator that installs onto the stock transmission hose going into the radiator.( as you know your tranny is already cooled by the radiator but this gives it more cooling power by adding another "radiator" if you will ) so now your tranny fluid gets cooled when it goes into the radiator and once again when it goes through the tranny cooler, it mounts in the front for good air flow and cooling power. mine cost $30 and it wasent too hard to do, i spilled a little fluid when i disconnected a hose but i guess that happens. im hoping that it will help on long drives or days when its hot and i drive it hard because i have noticed slipping on those occasions and i think this will elminate that and improve tranny life and performace
all in all a very worth while investiment.
