Free Flow Catalytic Converters

I'm looking for a free flowing bolt-on cat for my 1990 GXE. I need it to be bolt on because Midas won't install a new one without proof that the old one is bad. Also has anyone removed the resonator after the cat and what has this done to the sound of the car?

check out http://www.randomtechnology.com for info and http://www.lightningmotorsports.com for pricing...these are pretty much the only direct bolt on cats for us...
oh yeah... http://www.warpspeedperformance.com (im not sure if they are direct bolt on or not)

you can always take the "free" route liek i did, which is unbolt is and gut it, then put it back on. and look at teh bright side if u want to put on the "other" cat yours is no broken and not working properly so midas will gladly replace it.

i dont know if this is true or not
but everyone i asked said that you shouldn't gut out your cat (i was going to do that but i asked around to make sure if it would hurt my max or not) and everyone said the same thing. it will hurt your car because when you gut out a cat it is not smooth and will hurt the flow, if you want something like then get a hi flow cat. i don't know if its true or not but that is just what everyone is telling me. so has anyone done this yet and has it improved performance any?
