I'm just about to install 89SE gauges on my GXE. The person who sold it to me didn't include all the bulbs for the SE cluster though. Would there be anything wrong with taking the green caps off and just putting them in with? I was worried about the cluster heating up though. Will it be okay? I don't want to rip apart my dash again if there will be problems in the future.

Of you do that, the light will be very yellow coming through the guages. My recommendation is to get PIAA 194 Platinum replacement bulbs. These are the whitest bulbs available, and will make the guages much more visible at night.
